What's new in Yagi

Every update for iPhone, iPad and Mac, newest first. Yagi updates through the App Store, so you get each one as soon as it's out.

Yagi 2.3.0

WHAT'S NEW

  • Spectrum is now Yagi. Same app, new name and icon. Your playlists, favourites and settings stay just as they were.
  • Instant Subtitles for movies and episodes. Turn them on in the subtitle menu to read what is being said, one sentence at a time, in the language spoken or translated into your own. Transcription and translation happen locally, and nothing ever leaves your device.
  • Yagi now speaks your language. The app is available in many more languages, and it picks the one your device is set to.
  • A small ask. After you have been watching for a while, Yagi may ask once whether you would leave a rating. It takes a tap, and it helps the app more than you would think.

FIXED

  • Interface scale on the Mac now sizes everything. The player's controls, cards, spinner and sidebar arrows follow the Scale setting, so nothing stays small when the rest of the app is larger.

Yagi was called Spectrum before version 2.3.0. Earlier release notes are in the App Store's version history.
