Yagi vs IPTVX

Two IPTV players for Apple devices, compared honestly: what each one does, what it costs over the years, and what its privacy label says.

Checked against the App Store listings in .

The short version

A powerhouse with the longest feature list here: catch-up, recording, multi-screen, Plex and SMB sources, Apple TV and Vision Pro, and fresh updates almost every week. Its yearly plan costs about three times Yagi's, and its privacy label declares location and usage data used to track you.

  • 4.4 from 3.1K ratings
  • Updated every week or so
  • 11 languages
  • Also on Android
IPTVX is a great pick if you love watching on Apple TV, record shows, use catch-up or Plex, or want several channels on one screen.
You'll love Yagi if you want a true Mac app, Instant Subtitles, an app that collects nothing, and a third of the yearly price.

Questions

Is Yagi a good alternative to IPTVX?

For watching on a Mac, iPhone and iPad, yes. Yagi is a native Mac app, adds Instant Subtitles, collects no data and costs about a third of IPTVX's yearly plan. If you watch mostly on Apple TV, record shows or use your provider's catch-up, IPTVX does those things and Yagi doesn't.

Does IPTVX run on the Mac?

Its listing offers the iPad app on Macs with Apple silicon. Yagi is built for the Mac itself, with its own windows, keyboard shortcuts and interface scale.

Can I use my IPTVX playlist in Yagi?

Yes. Your playlist belongs to your provider, not to the player. Enter the same Xtream Codes server, username and password, or paste the same M3U link. Many providers allow only one or two streams at a time, so stop playing in the other app first.

Does Yagi have an Apple TV app?

Not yet. Yagi runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and sends the picture to an Apple TV with AirPlay.

Where do these facts come from?

From each app's US App Store listing and its developer's own site, read in October 2026. Where a listing doesn't say, the table says "Not stated" rather than guessing.
